The lakeside trail, is a 1.5 mile walk round Priory Lake on a hard surfaced path.
Follow the blue way markers.
From the trail look out for our resident wild birds, such as Mallard ducks, Mute Swans, Canada geese, Great Crested Grebes and Herons.
In summer you may see House Martins, Sand Martins and Swallows flying back and forth over the lake feeding on insects.
Dragonflies are often seen around the lake performing aerial acrobatics as they feed on insects.
In winter you may see migratory ducks, such as Pochard, Tufted, Shoveler, Gadwall and Widgeon.
Alongside the marina you will see the Priory wall, which is the remaining section of a wall that surrounded the Augustinian Priory, from which the park gets its name.
